We are so excited. Two of our team members have been published in The Otago Daily Times with some of their creative writing work.
Ameer Livne has had his poem, called The Turtle, published in the Best of Poetry section and it just looks amazing.
Lucy Knight has had her story , The Tiny Diary, published in the Writers of the Month section. Her story is gorgeous and most of the other published authors on the page are from Intermediate or High School.
Go Ameer and Lucy!!!
Today Tasman (with the help of his mum and sister) showed us some science experiments. We were using our observation skills to notice any changes going on. Our senses came in very handy for this.
We noticed colour changes, we heard bubbling sounds and we learned about exothermic, which means giving off heat. So when two chemicals were reacting the temperature of the liquid got warmer and warmer.
We are coders in Room 12. Today we had the BeeBots out and set up five different stations. We had a variety of challenges and programming the BeeBots to do what we asked was a little tricky but we stuck with it and got some fabulous results. Check out the photo's.
